How to repair / replace flagpole
parts.
This page details a flagpole top head replacement on Internal Halyard flagpole. The pole Is Not an Independence Flagpole. The parts being replaced are not from an Independence flagpole, however we did use some of our parts to rebuild this into a working pole. Note: this economy pole had only been in service for 4 or 5 years at US. post office in SC. before many of its parts failed. Some times the money you save up front when you purchase economy ... well ... lets move on. |

About the door : On internal halyard poles with a winch system the door is only required to assemble the winch, the crank inserts through a small hole so door does not need to be accessed. So we use a welded frame in our poles (not just a cut out which weakens the pole) and the door is bolted or locked shut, our Independence door is flush with pole no screws no hinges.
The winch system in our Independence Flagpoles is mounted on a revolving plate below door and is easily accessed for assembly. Our Independence Truck top uses Dual Sealed Bearings rather than loose ball bearings that grind into set and seize the truck from turning after just a few years.
