 (Ground set)

Check parts box & pole upon delivery! Do not leave paper on pole. If it gets get wet, remove wrapping and tube. Or store it in dry place.

FOR QUICK AND PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE PROCEEDING, These are general instructions that could pertain to any pole. Each flagpole comes with complete instructions that are specific for the pole you order.

STEP 1 - Remove all wrapping materials and place unwrapped pole on cribbing or other wood support on ground (preferably in a covered dry area). If pole is in two or more sections carefully lay out sections in proper order (If installing more than one flagpole of two or more sections at the same location, make sure to properly group sections of each pole). Field joints slide together easily if lined up accurately using match mark numbers imprinted at each successive section. Lubricate joint lightly with silicone or dish washing liquid (supplied by others). Sliding sections together may require using a sledgehammer on larger poles. Use a wood block to protect pole from direct impact of hammer. (hammer BUTT not top)

STEP 2 - Identify parts and place them along the pole according to the parts diagram.

STEP 3 - Starting with the finial ball , screwball spindle into truck . Do not grip ball to tighten, grip spindle/rod with vise grips and tighten. Tighten all nuts and set screws. (Epoxy or loc-tite type product is recommended on all connections, this material not furnished by Anchor Flag and Flagpole). (I use silicone caulking to secure all parts, it acts like a friction brake)

STEP 4 - Attach the truck with ball by screwing into the threaded top of the flagpole (Silicone caulk spindle of truck). If truck is a stationary truck nothing is to be used, be sure to secure all setscrews.

STEP 5 - Feed the polypropylene rope, around the pulley of the truck
and down the side of the flagpole to the area that will be at ground level. Tie both ends together forming a complete loop. Space the snap hooks at equal distance on either side of the knot to accommodate flag size (refer to diagram on parts page for snap hook attachment).

STEP 6 - Before standing flagpole, slide the flash collar up from bottom and secure at the location of the cleat holes, tie rope there at underside of flash collar to prevent slipping.

STEP 7 - Stand flagpole into previously installed ground sleeve. (May require crane or backhoe for larger flagpoles. Always choke multiple section poles below lowest joint as a safety precaution).

STEP 8 - After inserting flagpole into ground sleeve (corrugated tube), center bottom, plumb flagpole using wooden wedges (supplied by others) to hold pole. Fill space between ground sleeve and flagpole with dry sand. (bagged play sand is great) Fill ground sleeve 6" to 8" at a time with sand and tamp around flagpole as you fill. (no tamping is required is sand is DRY) Fill ground sleeve with sand. For PVC ground sleeve, insert flagpole into plastic sleeve, plumb pole, fill any remaining void with dry sand.

STEP 9 - Slide flash collar  down into position and caulk with matching color silicone around flagpole and flash collar to seal the space between the flagpole and the flash collar. (Clear silicone caulking works well for everything)

STEP 10 - Fasten cleat (s)  and / or halyard box(es) into position.
